Bosses from the South West’s leading hotel and health club are preparing to take part in a gruelling four-day bike ride to raise money for cure Leukemia.

Jason Eaton, group general manager at theclub, Cadbury House in Congresbury and Nick Taplin, owner of the four-star hotel and health club and chairman of Black & White Hospitality now want to raise at least £15,000 as they plan to ride 320 miles (or 500km) from London to Paris.

The dynamic duo will set off from Royal Observatory in Greenwich Park on 19 May, peddling their way through Kent towards Folkestone.

After a short trip through the Eurotunnel they’ll then pass through classic countryside in the Pas de Calais and Somme regions of Northern France finishing off by the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris.

The pair will be accompanied by other members of the Black & White Hospitality team including Shezan Aslam, Caroline Wilce, Julian Hook, Jack Eglington and Owen Hollingdale.

Jason said: “We’re all trying to train as much as possible but more importantly trying to get as much sponsorship as we can from our friends and colleagues!

“I imagine it will be a little tiring however the pain in our legs will be nothing in comparison to what those who are having treatment go through and is one of the motivations that we’ll keep at the back of our minds during the ride and will no doubt keep us going.

“To ride down the same roads as Sir Bradley Wiggins and Chris Froome when they won the yellow jersey in the Tour De France will be an amazing experience and one which we will remember forever.”

Cure Leukemia funds a network of research nurses to help save lives of leukaemia patients. It also part funds the World Class Centre of Excellence for Clinical Haematology at the QE Hospital in Birmingham, offering new life saving drugs & treatments to blood cancer patients.
