First Cadburyfest a huge success!

A community festival held in the grounds of a North Somerset hotel proved a huge success with hundreds in attendance and vital funds raised for charity.

Cadburyfest celebrated the 10 year anniversary of the iconic local venue Cadbury House with families travelling from near and far to enjoy the live music, street food, drinks, local produce and family fun.

The community event, which was the first of its kind, also raised vital funds for local charity Weston Hospicecare through bucket collections and car parking charges. In total over £630 was raised for the cause.

Mimmo Pomo, restaurant manager of the onsite Marco Pierre White Steakhouse and organiser of Cadburyfest, said: “We are absolutely thrilled that the first ever Cadburyfest was such a huge success. It completely sold out beforehand and people were getting in touch to be put on the waiting list.

“The support the local community has shown our first festival here is reflective of the support it has shown Cadbury House over the past 10 years. Our owner Nick has taken Cadbury House from a small country club venue to an award-winning setting renowned as one of the best destination hotels in the UK, and that wouldn’t have been possible without North Somerset’s support.

“From the staff who are all so passionate about Cadbury House to our lovely regular customers we are so proud of what has been achieved over the years and so this event was a celebration of that.

“Thank you to all the performers, suppliers and stallholders who helped make it such a success, we had a fabulous day of food, drink, music, fun and games, topped off with a magical firework display.

“The icing on the cake was raising such a fantastic amount for Weston Hospicecare which is a wonderful charity. We’re already planning bigger and better things for next year!”

Sue Harding, community fundraiser at Weston Hospicecare, said: “Thanks so much to everyone at DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House for laying on such a wonderful event and even ordering in the sunshine!

“All of the ladies who helped on the hospice stall enjoyed themselves, and it’s absolutely fantastic that everyone’s generosity has raised more than £630 for the hospice.

“We’re so grateful that Cadbury House kindly thought of us to help them celebrate their 10th anniversary, and we hope to work with them again in the future!”

DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House is a four-star boutique hotel just outside of Bristol. With two onsite Marco Pierre White restaurants, an award-winning health club and spa, free parking and views across the North Somerset countryside, it has become renowned as one of the best in the region.
